Effects and color
Use masks, keying, blending, titles, correction, grading, LUTs, and video scopes.
Every visual clip can use rectangular, elliptical, and cubic Bézier masks with feather and invert. Multiple masks multiply their coverage. Chroma and luma keys expose similarity, smoothness, spill, luma range, and invert. Blend modes include normal, add, multiply, screen, overlay, darken, and lighten.
Built-in transitions include cuts, dissolves, dip-to-color, configurable directional wipes, and audio crossfades. ITransitionProvider adds custom transitions without changing package source. Built-in effect providers include blur, sharpen, and vignette; IMediaEffect adds project-specific processing.
Color controls include exposure, temperature/tint, contrast, saturation, lift/gamma/gain, a master curve, and .cube 3D LUT import. LUTs must be complete and between size 2 and 128. The histogram, waveform, and vectorscope analyze the same sampled source pixels and do not alter the composition.
The compositor renders tracks in deterministic order to half-float RenderTextures. Mismatched source and output aspect ratios fit with letterbox or pillarbox according to the output profile. Destructive cropping is disabled by default and called out during preflight if a custom profile allows it.
